SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Community

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed concerning the significant number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a sassa status daily basis. The support position established for intervention ordeals a high inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tough for the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to empower the servicing of all customers and improve entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
